Moisture is a term that refers to the presence of water or other liquid in a substance or material. It can be found in the air, on plants and animals, and in many different kinds of materials and substances.
For example, if you touch a leaf on a plant, it might feel wet or damp because it contains moisture. If you leave a glass of water out in a room, the air in the room might become more humid, or contain more moisture, because the water is releasing water vapor into the air.
Moisture is important because it helps plants grow and stay healthy, and it helps keep our bodies hydrated and healthy as well. Too much moisture, however, can be a problem. For example, if there is too much moisture in the air, it can lead to things like mold or mildew growing on surfaces.
